I’m participating in World Romance Writers Book in a Week, using my DEAD MAN’S CAY as fodder. For those of you who don’t know, BIAW is not intended to necessarily get your book completed in a week, but more to assist you in developing discipline in your writing schedule. Personally, I am going to use it as a tool to prove to myself that I can write in greater volume per day, as this is something with which I sometimes struggle. Wow, it’s been a busy week so far! Since Saturday, I’ve been working hard on my writing career in a number of ways.

My query to Kensington Publishing for MATCH-UP was met with a request for the full manuscript! I completed final edits on it this past weekend, and am extremely proud of the finished product. Unfortunately, I then encountered major issues with the USPS. I used their Click-N-Ship option to mail the MS to NYC and scheduled a pick-up of my Express package at my mailbox. Monday night, I came home to a note (lying on *top* of my manuscript) telling me they were unable to pick-up as requested because the package wasn’t there! To top it off, my package was then lost because I dropped it at a blue box.

I just submitted my entry for the upcoming Phaze HeatSheet, deliciously entitled SAMBA…

This is my first romantic adventure, and writing it really exhilarated me! Through this story, I have learned how fun research can be. I spent hours online, searching through information on caving, archaeology, and the flora and fauna of the exotic jungle of Belize.

I have been spending every spare moment planning an itinerary for my NYC trip. My last visit to the Big Apple inspired me to start my romantic suspense, Love and Loss, a book that’s still in its infancy.
