Match-Up

comingsoonAlex Kennedy doesn’t wear makeup, has never seen the inside of a beauty salon, and doesn’t know the first thing about how to dress. A staunch feminist, she writes for a popular women’s magazine. In order to reveal the fallible nature of online matchmaking, Alex has agreed to register with a dating website.

In an effort to distract successful restaurateur Jake Vaughn from his divorce-anniversary depression, his buddies have registered him for his own online match. Jake has had it with the plastic women he sees everywhere in Los Angeles. He just wants a naturally lovely woman with brains who isn’t afraid to be herself.

As luck would have it, Jake and Alex are matched with each other and announced as the winners of the website’s sweepstakes: a trip to Santa Barbara. At the suggestion of her best friend, Alex undergoes a complete makeover before the trip. Upon arriving, Jake and Alex discover that the “exotic resort” is actually a sexual fantasyland for couples. With mirrors on the walls, a vibrating bed, and Kama Sutra class in the mornings, it’s tough to keep each other at arm’s length.
